While the big Easter celebrations are held in the town of Torrevieja, more intimate yet equally beautiful celebrations are marked across the small towns and villages of the Vega Baja.
Two of the most notable Easter celebrations in our region are held in the towns Rojales and Los Montesinos.
In each of these towns Easter is a celebration of both faith and community, where centuries-old traditions come to life through poignant processions and symbolic ritual.
Church and townspeople come together to mark the Passion, Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ, with the mood transitioning from solemn reverence and mourning for the Crucifixion to joyous celebration at the Resurrection.
We highly recommend visiting one of these towns to mark Easter. Below are the main events for Holy week.
